Communications Group Members Required!
Get LINk’d – Get Involved - with the Communications Group
Nottinghamshire County LINk Communications Group is looking for new members to contribute their time in developing the brand and awareness of the LINk throughout the County.
Previous marketing or advertising experience isn’t necessary, although the ability to work in a team, enthusiasm and a hands-on attitude are definitely attributes we require from group members.
The Communications group will decide on the best way to increase branding of the LINk. They will also be required to input in to the quarterly newsletter and adverts, help compile regular press releases to go out to various organisations around the county, as well as press and publications and any other promotion deemed suitable.
The communications strategy for the forthcoming year (April 1st 2010 – March 31st 2011) is being put together by the group and will involve dividing the communications budget in most appropriate way to substantiate the work of the LINk.
The group meets each month at the LINk offices;

LINk Training Collaboration with Age Concern
Nottinghamshire County LINk is collaborating with Age Concern on a training program that will run throughout 2010.
LINk participants will be able to attend FREE monthly training sessions from March. The training is being run by registered trainers from Age Concern. Each session will be fairly light hearted and the topics have been chosen to increase personal skills, which will help when volunteering for LINk.
If you are interested in a specific subject and feel may it help you in your work supporting the LINk, but know you won’t be able to attend on that date or at that time, please do let us know as we may be able to add other workshops to this schedule later on in the year.
Each session will last for around four hours and will include refreshments and a free lunch. LINk members can attend as many or as few training sessions as they wish.
PLEASE NOTE – as soon as the three unconfirmed venues are finalised, the invitations will be sent out again and the information will be posted on this website.
Get LINk’d Get Involved
Training is only available to LINk members who are prepared to actively use the training to benefit them when volunteering for LINk. If members are not yet part of a LINk group, such as a Task and Finish Group or the Issues Panel, but like the look of what is on offer, or wish to find out more then don’t hesitate to get in touch. The training could be the foundation to get you started. LINk is always on the lookout for new members and new issues regarding health and social care services.
