Unwind With Words!
Unwind with words is a new project aimed at adults in Rushcliffe, giving them that rare opportunity to take time out to relax and de-stress. It will be a chance to unwind and enjoy books, poetry, stories and conversation.
This is being organised by Rushcliffe Community & Voluntary Service, Principia Partners in Health, Nottinghamshire Library service and local coffee shops in the borough. We shall provide the coffee and the sessions will be led by a member of the library service.
We all live life at a hectic pace and have times of feeling stressed and worn out. This project aims to give people an excuse to take time out for themselves, listen to someone reading, enjoy a sociable coffee and re-charge those batteries
Our next session will take place on Wednesday 16th June at 1.30- 3.30 pm at Truly Scrumptious, Tollerton.
Monthly sessions will be held at a variety of coffee shops within Rushcliffe.
For more information please contact Sue Knowles at RCVS on 0115 9148567 or 0115 9816988.

LINk Training Programme 2010
Nottinghamshire County LINk is collaborating with Age Concern on a training program that will run throughout 2010.
LINk participants will be able to attend FREE monthly training sessions from March. The training is being run by registered trainers from Age Concern. Each session will be fairly light hearted and the topics have been chosen to increase personal skills, which will help when volunteering for LINk.
Each session will last for around four hours and will include refreshments and a free lunch. LINk members can attend as many or as few training sessions as they wish.

Get LINk’d Get Involved
Training is only available to LINk members who are prepared to actively use it to help them when volunteering for LINk.
If you are not a LINk member, or you are a member but aren’t yet part of a LINk group, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to find out more. There are many ways that you can get involved and give as much or as little time as you can spare.
LINk has a number of working groups such as the Task and Finish Groups, the Communications Group or the Issues Panel. The training could be the foundation to get you started! LINk is always on the lookout for new members and new issues regarding health and social care services.
